Milford, CT (March 25, 2024) – Hurwitz Sagarin Slossberg & Knuff LLC proudly announces the promotion of Sara Sharp to counsel, recognizing her exceptional contributions to the firm’s Land Use Practice.

With more than a decade of law practice, Sharp combines her experience in environmental science and litigation to craft innovative solutions that benefit her clients and their communities. Her recent successes include navigating complex entitlement processes, securing approvals for mixed-use developments, and spearheading initiatives in green energy.

“Sara’s promotion to counsel reflects her outstanding leadership and dedication to excellence,” said John Knuff, one of the firm’s named partners. “Her passion for innovation and unwavering commitment to client success make her an invaluable asset to our firm and the communities we serve.”

In Mansfield, Sharp helped lead a legal team to secure approvals for a transformative mixed-use development that will revitalize a commercial plot and address housing needs near the University of Connecticut. Her adept negotiation skills paved the way for a resolution to enhance the town’s landscape upon completion in 2025.

Other projects on which Sharp is working include the development of Connecticut’s first 200-megawatt battery storage unit in Milford, the development of a national warehouse store in Connecticut, and the new neuroscience building at Yale New Haven Hospital.

Beyond her professional achievements, Sharp remains actively engaged in community initiatives, serving on the Regional Advisory Council for the Women’s Business Development Council and as vice chair of the Connecticut Bar Association Women in the Law section. She also mentors the firm’s junior attorneys.

Sharp has been recognized for her accomplishments by Super Lawyers Rising Stars and was selected by the Connecticut Law Tribune for its New England Legal Awards, New Leaders in the Law.
