April 11th through the 15th was a very exciting week for Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Orange!  We attended the Cross Country Dance championships in Boston, MA with two of our amateur couples, 3 amateur ladies and 1 amateur gentleman.

There are three National Competitions for the Fred Astaire Studios around the country every year.  This National had over 100 franchised dance studios in attendance and over 17,000 entries.  Fred Astair Orange studio brought home two national champions! Mona Costantini placed first in her age category dancing “Bronze” smooth, which consists of waltz, tango and foxtrot.

Tony Gilbert placed 1st in his age category dancing “Silver” rhythm, which consists of cha cha, rumba and swing.

We are so proud of all of our students that were in attendance. Our two amateur couples Bill & Peggy Bergreen and Robert and Linda Shortt both couples were finalists in their championships.  We also had a semifinalist Michele Margeanau in her championships and Dilarah Baunuch placing well in her single dances!
