August 30, 2024 – Judith Corprew has been named CEO of New Haven Bank, based in New Haven, CT. Ms. Corprew joined the bank as President, in June 2024. Ms. Corprew has over 40 years of community banking experience, with concentrations in credit, risk management, lending, compliance, and corporate governance. She succeeds Ms. Maureen Frank, who is retiring after 11 years serving as President and CEO, and who will remain on the board.
Ms. Corprew’s prior employment included positions such as Executive Vice President, Chief Risk Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, and CRA Officer. Ms. Corprew has managed residential mortgage operations, monitored risk, overseen CISO and cybersecurity, and built programs with effective team building. Ms. Corprew was a recipient of “The President’s Award” (1990 from The BankMart, located in Bridgeport, CT) and the “Positive Impact Award” (2024 from Color a Positive Thought Organization, located in Bridgeport, CT).
Ms. Corprew is known in the community for her financial literacy model and development of community partnership programs. She spearheaded a bank consortium fund to meet the needs of underbanked families by providing emergency funds and banking services bridging economic gaps, supported housing downpayment and closing cost assistance programs, and provided grant dollars and underwriting review of grant funds to CT women business owners.
Ms. Corprew is also currently the President of the Board of the CT State Housatonic Community College Foundation.
